Landowners who plan to mow non-interstate ditches for hay should begin mowing as soon as possible. The North Dakota Department of Transportation Valley City District will start mowing the top cut along shoulders of state highways beginning about July 15.
Persons harvesting the hay in highway ditches should place the bales they are unable to remove immediately at the back of the right-of-way, as far from the highway as possible.
