Jamestown City Council approves audit report

The only finding against the city of Jamestown was that the city does not prepare its own financial statements, which is an ongoing finding, said Linda Mohn, certified public accountant at Schauer & Associates PC Certified Public Accountants.

The Jamestown City Council unanimously approved Tuesday, Oct. 19, the 2020 city of Jamestown audit report prepared by Schauer & Associates PC Certified Public Accountants.

Mayor Dwaine Heinrich was not present due to the groundbreaking for the Anne Carlsen Center’s new campus project.

The only finding against the city of Jamestown was that the city does not prepare its own financial statements, which is an ongoing finding, said Linda Mohn, certified public accountant at Schauer & Associates PC Certified Public Accountants.

Councilman Dan Buchanan asked if the city of Jamestown’s numbers were consistent with Schauer & Associates’ report, and Mohn replied that they were.
