City crews will begin clearing drifted snow in the downtown district of Jamestown beginning at 11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, according to the city engineer's office.
All vehicles should be removed from the downtown streets, avenues and alleyways.
The above schedule is contingent on changing weather conditions and snow accumulation totals.
City ordinance 25-10 requires property owners to keep sidewalks adjoining the property clear of snow and ice. Snow or ice should not be deposited on the city street after a city plow has cleared the street. These violations are Class B misdemeanors and will result in a fine.
