Jamestown Fire Department extinguishes garage fire

No injuries were reported.

JSSPN Fire calls

JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Fire Department responded to a fire coming from the roof of a garage Wednesday, April 5, in the northeast part of town, according to Lt. Sheldon Mohr with the Jamestown Fire Department.

Four units and 21 firefighters responded to 301 7th Ave. NE at about 10:20 a.m. Wednesday. Mohr said the fire was quickly extinguished.

He said the garage sustained “significant damage.”

Mohr said the cause of the fire is under investigation until the department speaks with the homeowner. He said the homeowner was not home at the time of the fire.

No injuries were reported. Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour.

Jamestown Area Ambulance and the Jamestown Police Department also responded to the scene.
