Jamestown man pleads guilty to weapons violation

FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- A Jamestown man has pleaded guilty to a weapons charge.

John Flaska was charged in federal court with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Flaska had previously been convicted in 2000 on felony charges of terrorizing and possession of a controlled substance in 2008.

U.S. District Judge Ralph Erickson ordered Flaska to forfeit a .22-caliber rifle, a bolt-action rifle, a .22-caliber revolver, a .32-caliber revolver and assorted ammunition.

Sentencing for the 37-year-old Flaska is set for Aug. 27.
