A vehicle fire Friday in rural Jamestown destroyed a 1995 Jeep Laredo, according to Ben Maulding, Jamestown Rural Fire Department chief.
The department responded at 2:53 p.m. with three units and eight firefighters in the 8600 block of 29th Avenue Southeast in rural Jamestown. The location is about 1 mile east of the 5-mile curve on N.D. Highway 20 north of Jamestown.
Maulding said the vehicle was completely engulfed when firefighters arrived and was a complete loss.

The cause of the fire was likely mechanical or electrical, Maulding said. There were no injuries reported in the fire.
