Former Jamestown College outfielder Brent Krause is off to a good start with the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Krause, whose contract was purchsed from the St. Paul Saints, last week, hit his first home run as a member of the Frederick Keys on Tuesday.

The Andover, Minn., native hit a two-run, first-inning homer in the Keys' 12-9 loss to Salem. He went 2-for-4 with a walk in the game, his second multi-hit game in three outings for the Orioles' Advanced Class A franchise in the Carolina League.

Krause is hitting .333 with four hits in 12 at-bats, two doubles, a homer and four RBI in three games. He's walked twice and has a .429 on-base percentage and a .750 slugging percentage going into Wednesday night's game.
