BISMARCK - The Board of University and School Lands awarded more than $1.2 million Thursday to communities affected by rapid oil development.
Three counties and three townships each received an energy impact grant totaling $205,378 for road maintenance and repair projects. The dollars will go to Dunn, Mountrail and Williams counties, as well as Debing Township in Mountrail County, Troy Township in Divide County and Williston Township in Williams County.
The Legislature provided nearly $240 million in energy impact grants for the 2013-15 biennium. These are the final round of grants for the biennium.
