BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- The Health Department says a North Dakota case of listeria illness likely linked to Colorado cantaloupes involves an older woman who lives in the central part of the state.
State Disease Control Director Kirby Kruger tells The Bismarck Tribune that the woman was hospitalized. He did not identify her or have information on her condition.
Kruger says officials are working to determine where the woman got the cantaloupe.
Federal health officials say 72 illnesses and more than a dozen deaths in 18 states are linked to the tainted fruit.
