The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the 20-year-old Steele, N.D., man killed in a rollover early Sunday morning, Jan. 16, on Interstate 94 about 8 miles east of Tappen.
Brett Harr was driving a 2013 Ford F-150 at about 12:30 a.m. in the left lane of eastbound I-94 when he lost control on the scattered ice-covered highway, the patrol said. The vehicle left the highway, entered the gore area between I-94 and the exit ramp at exit 221 and rolled.
Harr was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, the patrol said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Kidder County Sheriff's Department and Kidder County Ambulance also responded to the scene.
The patrol is investigating the rollover.
