Mosquito fogging planned in Jamestown

Work to control mosquitoes is expected.

One was reported in the morning; the other was reported in the afternoon.

On Wednesday and Thursday, July 20-21, Jamestown crews will be mosquito fogging areas of the city, according to the Street Department's vector control. City crews will begin at approximately 8 p.m. and continue until finished, approximately 2 a.m.

Fogging is planned as follows:

  • Wednesday, July 20: southwest and southeast areas
  • Thursday, July 21: northeast and northwest areas.

Parents are advised to keep children out of the streets and away from the fogging machines.
Motorists are asked to use caution in these areas.
