No garbage or recycling collection in Jamestown Thursday

Due to the continued weather conditions, there will be no garbage or recycling collection on Thursday, Dec. 15, in Jamestown.

The bill, heard Monday before the Senate Judiciary Committee, was brought in response to a rising number of overdose deaths caused by fentanyl.

Wednesday’s routes will be tentatively picked up Friday, Dec. 16.

Thursday’s routes will be tentatively picked up Saturday, Dec. 17.

The trucks will travel where possible.

The schedule is contingent upon changing weather conditions and snow accumulation totals.
