Stutsman County has 287 total cases of coronavirus

North Dakota has 2,695 new cases of coronavirus and 10,860 total active cases. The daily positivity rate in the state is 19.13%.

Stutsman County has 103 new cases of coronavirus and 287 total active cases, according to information released Friday, Jan. 21, from the North Dakota Department of Health.

Other counties in the Jamestown area with new cases include Barnes, 17; Foster, 12; Dickey and LaMoure, 11 each; Eddy, six; Griggs and Wells, five each; Logan, four; McIntosh, three; and Kidder, two.

The daily positivity rate in Stutsman County is 13.72%. Stutsman County has reported 92 total deaths related to coronavirus and 5,909 total cases since the pandemic began.

The vaccination rate in Stutsman County for individuals 12 and older is 61.9% for those who received at least one dose and 60.3% for those who received two doses, according to the health department.

The vaccination rate in the county for individuals 65 and older is 87.1% for those who received at least one dose and 83.4% for those who received two doses.

The total number of breakthrough cases of fully vaccinated individuals in North Dakota is 33,985, or 8.58%, and includes 784 hospitalizations and 198 deaths. The total number of fully vaccinated individuals – someone who has received all doses in their primary vaccine series – is 396,189.

A vaccine breakthrough infection is defined as the detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA or antigen in a respiratory specimen collected from a person at least 14 days after the individual has been fully vaccinated, according to the health department.

The total number of breakthrough cases of individuals who completed their primary series and received a booster is 4,221, or 2.45%, and includes 58 hospitalizations and eight deaths. The total number of boosted individuals is 171,979.

There have been 2,067 deaths related to coronavirus in North Dakota since the pandemic began.
