Madison Motschenbacher of Jamestown has been selected as the Unison Bank Spirit Scholarship recipient. The graduating high school senior was chosen from this year’s applicants and will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

“Thank you to everyone at Unison Bank for this wonderful opportunity,” Motschenbacher said. “I really appreciate this gift.”

Eligible applicants included Jamestown and surrounding area high school graduating seniors who are or whose parents or guardians are customers of Unison Bank and planning to attend a college, university, vocational or technical post-secondary school. Each applicant’s scholarship, letter of recommendation and transcript were graded by the Unison Bank Scholarship Committee.

While attending PEAK Academy Home School, Motschenbacher participated in the Jamestown High School Speech Team. She has displayed leadership skills through the peer-led community study that she implemented and the multiple missions and service-based trips she has taken over the years to help others. This fall Motschenbacher plans to attend the University of Jamestown to pursue a degree in communications and minor in leadership.

“Thank you to all of the students who applied for our scholarship," said Kelly Rachel, Unison Bank president and CEO. "This year’s applicants were exemplary from their volunteer work and community involvement to their grades and the impact that they’ve made in the lives of those they’re around.”
