MINOT, N.D. (AP) -- A man has been indicted in federal court for allegedly assaulting a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officer in North Dakota.
Benjamin Gange has pleaded not guilty to assaulting and resisting a federal officer. Trial is set for Dec. 13.
Court documents show that Officer Heriberto Herrerra was hurt in the Aug. 14 incident. No further details were available.
A detention hearing is scheduled Monday. Prosecutors have argued that Gange should be held in jail because he is a flight risk and a danger to the community
