MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Authorities are identifying the motorcyclist who was killed Friday afternoon while fleeing a State Patrol trooper.
The Star Tribune reports that he is 23-year-old Kenneth Kahle of Detroit Lakes, Minn.
State Patrol said Kahle refused to pull over when a trooper saw that the motorcycle didn't have a license plate. Instead, he fled.
Kahle drove through a red light and struck a pickup truck about 4:30 p.m. He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident report said there's no evidence the driver of the pickup truck did anything wrong.
