MINOT - Five Minot 15-year-olds have been charged with the burglary of B&D Market in Minot, but police don’t think the case is connected to a rash of 16 break-ins at businesses and churches in the city since May 1.
One of the juveniles has been charged with felony burglary in the case where a large cinder block was thrown through a window on the business to gain entry.
The other four juveniles were charged with criminal conspiracy to commit burglary. The cases will all be handled in juvenile court.
Police Capt. John Klug said that investigators don’t think that the juveniles were involved in the other rash of burglaries because of the method used to gain entry.
Klug also said there have been six to seven more burglaries since the youth were arrested.
