The Jamestown Mercahnts picked up a weekend sweep, defeating Fairmont and the Jamestown Elks.
In the opener, the Merchants' Jamie Jack threw a complete-game three-hit shutout, striking out 11 and walking a pair, in defeating Fairmont 6-0. Sam Joseph was 2-for-3 with a home run and Robbie Jamison doubled and had three RBI in the game.
Josh Shaw spun a complete-game one-hitter as he picked up his sixth win of the year with a 12-0 decision over the Elks.
Shaw struck out six in seven innings before the game was called due to the 10-run rule.
Bryan Erstad paced the Merchants with a pair of home runs and two doubles on the day, driving in seven runs in the game. Joey Vannett was 4-for-4 and had three RBI while Jamison had three hits including two doubles and three runs scored. Steve Bennion added a pair of hits and also had three runs on the day.

The Merchants (24-8) play the Moorhead Brewers on Wednesday.
