Mildred Schrade, 78, Jamestown, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown.

Mildred Mary Nogosek was born Nov. 20, 1928, in Kensal, N.D., the daughter of Louis and Theresa (Neva) Nogosek. She grew up and attended school in Kensal where she graduated in 1946. She attended Valley City State Teacher's College and then taught at the Nogosek Township School, Stutsman County, North Dakota, for one year. She later worked at the First National Bank, Jamestown. She married Robert Schrade on Jan. 29, 1952, at St. John's Catholic Church, Kensal. They farmed south of Kensal until 1979 when they moved to Jamestown. She was a member of the St. James Basilica. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Steve, Toronto, Canada, and John and Donald, both Jamestown; a brother, Leland (Connie) Nogosek, St. Louis, Mo.; four sisters, Irene Pitra and Harriet (Kenneth) DeVillers, both Kensal, and Lorraine Wright and Marcia (Dennis) Krueger, both Jamestown; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Laverne, and an infant sister, Phyllis.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday, St. James Basilica, Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Visitation: noon to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel and one hour before the service at the church.

Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
