WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) -- The military has resumed its annual battle against mosquitoes in Williston this year.
Williams County officials said earlier that they did not want to ask the Air Force because crews are dealing with the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.
The Air Force says it began spraying Tuesday morning and will likely finish next week.
This is the third year an Air Force crew based in Youngstown, Ohio, has helped spay for mosquitoes in Williston as part of a training exercise. Local officials have paid for the chemicals and the airmen's expenses.
