MINOT, N.D. (AP) -- Amtrak hopes to reopen the depot in Minot and restore passenger service to the city by Thanksgiving.
Minot has been without Amtrak service because of Souris River flooding earlier this year that damaged the depot and boarding platform. Amtrak spokesman Mark Magliari tells the Minot Daily News that contractors soon will begin making temporary repairs.
Minot passengers are using Amtrak stations in Stanley, Rugby and Williston.
