MINOT - Trinity Health officials announced Wednesday plans for a new hospital and medical campus in Minot and a new affiliation with a Billings, Mont., hospital.
The two entities have signed a letter of intent for Trinity to become part of Billings Clinic RegionalCare, a transaction that is expected to close prior to the end of the year.
A new medical campus will be constructed in southwest Minot at a site owned by Trinity, with construction plans and timelines still being finalized.
“This agreement with Billings Clinic RegionalCare is an important step forward in ensuring the long-term stability and continued health care choice for the people of North Dakota and eastern Montana,” John Kutch, president and CEO of Trinity Health, said in a statement.
Trinity will continue to have local leadership based in Minot and all Trinity employees in good standing will be hired by Billings Clinic RegionalCare, according to a news release.
Billings Clinic RegionalCare is a joint venture between Billings Clinic, with headquarters in Montana, and RegionalCare Hospital Partners, a national hospital system.
