MINOT, N.D. (AP) -- Minot still hasn't cleaned up many of its flooded mobile home parks nearly two months after Souris River floodwaters largely receded.
The Minot Daily News reports that damaged mobile homes occupy parks while the city and the Federal Emergency Management Agency exchange paperwork to determine who pays for removal.
Mayor Curt Zimbelman says FEMA dragged its feet and found has every way not to work with the city. He says the two should have been able to work quickly.
FEMA spokesman Ed Conley says every effort is being made to ensure Minot and its residents receive every dollar to which they are entitled.
The delay has been frustrating for park owners and displaced tenants.
Oakland Communities Manager Larry Gullickson says he wishes it would go faster, but it's government.
