BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is speaking at a North Dakota Republican Party fundraiser next week.
State GOP Chairman Gary Emineth said former Republican U.S. Sen. Mark Andrews is hosting the event June 22 at his farm near Mapleton in rural Cass County. Tickets cost $1,000.
Romney is a former governor of Massachusetts. He sought the Republican presidential nomination in 2008, but lost to Arizona Sen. John McCain.
Romney defeated McCain in North Dakota's Republican presidential preference caucuses in February 2008.
