GRAND FORKS (AP) -- North Dakota ranks among the top states in the country for its percentage of young adults who hold a college degree.
The Census Bureau says just under 50 percent of North Dakota residents age 25 to 34 in 2009 were college graduates. That compares with about 38 percent of young adults nationally.
N.D. trails only Washington, D.C., at 64 percent, and Massachusetts at 53 percent. Minnesota ranked fourth at 48 percent. Arkansas was last at 26 percent.
