N.D. woman wants her own trial

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) -- Lawyers for a woman accused of providing a gun for a Gilby bank robbery say her trial should not be combined with a man who allegedly participated in the holdup.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) -- Lawyers for a woman accused of providing a gun for a Gilby bank robbery say her trial should not be combined with a man who allegedly participated in the holdup.

The federal trial for 47-year-old Debra Jensen of Grand Forks and 47-year-old William Collins of Nashville, Tenn., is scheduled for Aug. 26 in Grand Forks.

Prosecutors say Jensen bought a shotgun the day before the May 2009 robbery and gave it to Collins, who used it to threaten a teller during the heist in which more than $50,000 was taken from the Bremer Bank.

Jensen's lawyers say there is no allegation or proof that Jensen knew about the bank robbery, and she should be tried separately.
