MINOT, N.D. (AP) -- A North Dakota man convicted in federal court on two child pornography charges is appealing the verdicts.
A jury earlier this month found Scott Boyle guilty on charges of sexual exploitation of minors and possession of pornography. Prosecutors say that between 2006 and 2010, Boyle videotaped two underage girls in a bathtub and while they were playing naked in a bedroom in Boyle's home.
The 39--year-old Boyle says the government failed to prove its case. He says he had no knowledge that the video was being recorded. He also says there is no sexually illicit conduct depicted in the video.
Boyle filed two separate motions, one for acquittal and one for a new trial. A judge has not ruled on the requests.
