A 28-year-old Driscoll, N.D., man was arrested following a pursuit Thursday near Jamestown, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.
The incident began at about 636 p.m. when a state trooper attempted to stop a Ford F-150 for speeding on Interstate 94 at mile marker 256 west of Jamestown. The vehicle refused to stop, and a pursuit ensued. During the pursuit, the trooper was advised that the vehicle was stolen. The pickup continued east traveling at speeds up to 85 miles per hour before a rear tire of the vehicle went flat on its own. The pickup pulled over at mile marker 262 where the driver exited the vehicle at the direction of the patrol.
During the arrest, the driver, Jacob Leno, resisted when he was placed in handcuffs, the patrol said. Leno was charged with driving under the influence, driving under suspension, fleeing, resisting arrest, possession of a stolen motor vehicle and two outstanding warrants.
