ND man dies in crash in north-central Montana

HAVRE, Mont. (AP) -- The Montana Highway Patrol says a North Dakota man was killed and another injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. Highway 2 in north-central Montana.

HAVRE, Mont. (AP) -- The Montana Highway Patrol says a North Dakota man was killed and another injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. Highway 2 in north-central Montana.

The patrol says the crash happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday near Rudyard. The vehicle drifted off the road, the driver overcorrected, veered into the oncoming lane and then corrected back to the right. The vehicle rolled nearly three times, ending up on its side in the middle of the highway.

The passenger, a 21-year-old man from Mandan, N.D., was not wearing his seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He died at the scene.

A 20-year-old man from Lincoln, N.D., who was driving, was wearing a seat belt and was taken to the hospital in Havre.

Their names have not been released.
