FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- A Fargo woman whose son was killed in a terrorist plane bombing say the world will be a safer place with the death of Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi.

The bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over the Scottish town of Lockerbie on Dec. 21, 1988, killed 270 people, including 20-year-old Steven Berrell, a Syracuse University student at the time. The plane allegedly was blown up at Gadhafi' request.

Mother Sally Berrell tells The Forum that Gadhafi's death won't bring back any of the victims but it will bring closure.

The two U.S. senators from North Dakota say Gadhafi was a brutal leader who got what he deserved.
