BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- Airports in western North Dakota's booming oil patch continue to see what state Aeronautics Commissioner Larry Taborsky calls "unprecedented" growth in passenger numbers.
September boardings in Dickinson jumped nearly 89 percent over the year, while the increase in Williston was about 87 percent.
Minot's airport saw a 61 percent jump. It had the biggest increase in actual passengers among the state's eight commercial and regional airports, with an additional 5,087 boardings compared to September 2010.
