VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) -- Two North Dakota high school tournaments have been moved to Fargo because of flooding this past summer in other cities.

The North Dakota High School Activities Association is moving the state volleyball tournament from Minot to the Fargodome. The combined Class A and Class B tournament is Nov. 17-19.

The state cross country meet on Oct. 22 has been moved from Valley City. It will be held at Rose Creek Golf Course in Fargo.

The activities association also is moving the academic State Student Congress event Nov. 3-4 to the Seven Seas in Mandan because of the special legislative session scheduled at the state Capitol in Bismarck.
