North Dakota Farm Bureau scholarships are now online and worth $1,000 each according to North Dakota Director of Leadership Development Joey Tigges.
“Our Promotion and Education Committee revamped the scholarships because they wanted to reward those students who are truly dedicated to furthering their education by increasing the award and making the application process more difficult,” Tigges said.
The scholarships include one for graduate students, one for students enrolled in agriculture majors, a Farm Bureau family scholarship, one for high school seniors enrolled in an ag school and the Becki Palmer Scholarship. The Becki Palmer Scholarship is a memorial scholarship for a longtime staff member who passed away from cancer. The scholarships are made possible through contributions to the NDFB Foundation.
To donate to the scholarship fund, send tax-deductible contributions to the NDFB Foundation, PO Box 2064, Fargo, ND 58107. Indicate the gift is for the scholarship fund.
Scholarship applications are available on the Promotion and Education scholarship page at www.ndfb.org/edusafe/scholarships .
The applications are due in the NDFB office in Fargo no later than April 15.
