New editor, writer at The Jamestown Sun

The Jamestown Sun has a new assistant editor and a new staff writer.

Logan C. Adams joined the staff as assistant editor on June 11, said Kathy Steiner, managing editor. He is a graduate of Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kan., with a Bachelor of Arts in print journalism.

Previously, he worked as metro editor of his university's student newspaper, the K-State Collegian.

Adams also worked for the Scripps Howard Foundation Wire in Washington, D.C., and operated his own photography business.

Katie Ryan began working for the Sun as a staff writer on June 4. She replaces David Maack, who retired.

Ryan is a graduate of Creighton University, Omaha, with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism.

Previously, she was the editor-in-chief of her university newspaper, The Creightonian.

Ryan also worked part time for The Omaha World-Herald in Omaha, Neb., The Columbus Telegram in Columbus, Neb., and The Banner Press in David City, Neb.
