A Minnewaukan man was killed in a one-vehicle accident near Devils Lake this morning, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The name of the man has not been released pending notification of next-of-kin.
The vehicle was traveling east on North Dakota Highway 19 about 1.5 miles west of Devils Lake when it left the road and struck a utility pole. The vehicle then rotated around the pole and struck a tree.
The Highway Patrol was assisted by the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, Devils Lake Ambulance and the Devils Lake Rural Fire Department.
The accident remains under investigation by the NDHP.
