An Illinois man suffered minor injuries when the helicopter he was piloting near Fessenden crashed, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Michael Hamouz, 49, Willowbrook, Ill., was spraying waterways about 4 1/2 miles south of Fessenden along N.D. Highway 52 at about 8:30 a.m. when the crash occurred.
The blades of the helicopter caught on a power line causing the aircraft to crash about 200 yards from the road, the patrol said. Hamouz was transported to a hospital as a precaution.
