One person was sentenced recently on felony charges in Southeast District Court in Jamestown.
Samuel Paxton Mittleieder, 24, pleaded guilty to two counts of failure to register as sexual offender, Class C felonies.
Mittleider was accused of failing to register as a sex offender after experiencing a change of residence and failing to register the change within three days with law enforcement from Feb. 10 to March 5 and from March 5 to March 11 with a previous conviction in 2021.
Judge Troy LeFevre sentenced Mittleider to 36 months in the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation with credit for 41 days served. The sentence is concurrent with a previous conviction in 2021. Mittleider was placed on 12 months supervised probation.
A Class C felony is punishable by five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
