FARGO - Dr. David Levy, the 30-year-old son-in-law of Republican presidential candidate and former New York Gov. George Pataki, was treated and released from Sanford Medical Center in Fargo after suffering a massive heart attack Tuesday while on a flight from Chicago to Seattle.
Levy, 30, was admitted to intensive care at Sanford after the plane was diverted to Fargo. Levy was traveling with his pregnant wife, Alison Pataki, the former governor’s daughter.
Pataki and his wife, Libby, left immediately to be with their daughter and son-in-law in Fargo, according to a report in Newsday.
Levy was transferred Thursday from Sanford Medical Center to Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, according to a report on The Hill website.
“The Patakis and the Levys want to thank the doctors, nurses and all the staff at the Sanford Medical Center which has been world class and the people of Fargo who have opened their hearts during this difficult time,” said a release from the Pataki campaign. “This episode is a shock to us all, as David, only 30 years of age, is a strong young man who enjoyed excellent health. We are praying for his recovery and welcome everyone’s prayers and good wishes.”
