BEMIDJI, Minn. -- A person was killed in a shooting at Mi Rancho restaurant in Bemidji on Saturday morning and a suspect has been identified, according to Beltrami County Sheriff Phil Hodapp.
There is no danger to the public at this time, a release from the sheriff's office said. The suspect is being interviewed and more details are expected later this afternoon.
An officer on scene said the incident took place at about 10 a.m. and that the business was closed at the time. Police tape is blocking all entrances to the business at 677 Anne St. NW, and vehicles from the sheriff's office, Bemidji Police, Minnesota State Patrol and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are parked outside the popular eatery in north Bemidji near the Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
