Bar break-ins are a regular occurrence, according to Deputy Jason Falk of the Stutsman County Sheriff's Department, but several incidents in the past month are believed to be connected.
On June 28 a bar in Courtney and one in Kensal were broken into.
A bar in Barnes County was also broken into the same day, and the Buchanan Bar was broken into on July 6.
Falk said gaming money, coins, alcohol, tobacco and food were missing from the bars.
"We have a person of interest, but we're having a hard time locating him," Falk said.

That person, who is not from Stutsman County, passed nonsufficient checks in each of the bars.
The Sheriff's Department is working with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation on the continuing investigation.
