Madisen Prasek, a senior at Jamestown High School, has earned an $8,000 Coyote Commitment Leadership Scholarship from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion. Prasek, the daughter of Gordon and Michelle Prasek, plans on majoring in psychology.
USD awards Coyote Commitment Scholarships to high school seniors based on strong standardized test scores and cumulative gradepoint average. Incoming freshmen are automatically considered for the award.
Sixty-two percent of current USD freshmen receive a combined $6.8 million in scholarships. The USD Foundation and private sources outside the university award students for academic, artistic or athletic success.
