FARGO (AP) -- Prosecutors want the case of a 15-year-old boy charged in the death of his 16-year-old sister transferred to adult court.
Sergei Isaac Carlson was arrested on July 16, two days after Whitney Carlson was found dead.
Cass County States Attorney Birch Burdick said in a statement on Friday that Carlson, who is identified by his initials, faces charges in juvenile court, but prosecutors have filed a motion to move the case to adult court.
The motion hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Monday.
Whitney Carlson's mother found her daughter unconscious and not breathing about 8:06 a.m. July 14 in their home, authorities said.

Fargo police arrested Sergei Carlson after autopsy results deemed his sister's death a homicide caused by asphyxiation.
Juveniles older than 14 charged with serious crimes, including murder, begin the judicial process in juvenile court before there is a transfer hearing to determine if the individual should be charged as an adult.
