Rain got the best of the opening day of the Class B baseball tournament in Minot on Thursday.

Velva-Drake led Enderlin-Maple Valley 1-0 after five innings in the first of four games on Thursday, but rain halted play around noon and continued to fall for the rest of the day.

The first game will resume at 10 a.m. today and will be followed by the other three first round games.

The semifinals are scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. at Duane Coleman Field, while all consolation and placing games will be played on Saturday.
