NEW TOWN, N.D. (AP) -- An organization on the Fort Berthold Reservation is providing a forum for people to discuss reservation issues and other concerns and ask questions.
Organizers say Inner Voice is not a political organization but a group of enrolled members trying to improve living conditions for tribal members and future generations. They say the group is open to anyone.
Inner Voice has a Web site at www.elbowoods.com and also holds regular meetings. Spokesman Verdell Smith says people from all over the reservation are attending the meetings.
Topics include grazing leases, housing, tribal finances, environment, tribal constitution, oil and gas development, health care and government trust responsibilities.
