ROLLA, N.D. (AP) -- Rolette County Sheriff Tony Sims has died.
Chief Deputy Melvin Frank says Sims died in his Rolla home on Monday. He was 65 years old.
Frank on Tuesday referred an inquiry about the cause of death to the state's attorney's office. Officials there did not immediately return a call to The Associated Press.
Sims was up for re-election in November. The County Commission will appoint an interim replacement until the vote.
