Up to 500 people participated in the Running of the Pink 2015 Saturday morning
The run/walk event raises money for breast cancer treatment and research programs through the Jamestown Regional Medical Center and the Jamestown chapter of Women's Way.
The event was founded by Casey Stoudt, owner of R.M. Stoudt, as a way to promote running in the Jamestown area. Working with Doug Klatt, general manage at R.M. Stoudt, and Jason Holstad, the event became a fundraiser for first Women's Way, a program that offers free breast and cervical cancer screenings to women in need. Last year the event organizers decided to start donating money to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center's 3-D mammography machine.
Running of the Pink has 10k and 5k runs and 5k walk. The video shows the start of the 5k walk.
