The city of Jamestown Engineer's Office has announced that the contractor has completed the Hesco removals, and is continuing with sandbag and plastic removals.
The contractor has split its workers into two groups to facilitate removal efforts and their work will primarily move from the south (East Business Loop area) to the north. Crews were expected to be working in the Pipestem Creek areas Thursday.
Clay dike removals have begun, with the majority of the clay dike removal in the East Business Loop and continuing into the northwest areas Thursday.
Grading, seeding and mulching are expected to begin as early as Monday, contingent upon the current weather conditions.
Residents are asked to use caution in the areas where working is going on.

The plans for roadway repairs and reconstruction of streets damaged by the dike construction and removals from the last two years are out for bids. A date is not known at this time for this work to begin, but is expected to start by mid-July to early August. Weather permitting, the city intends to complete all such repair work this year.
