Alison Schmitz, daughter of Stephen and Darla Schmitz, Jamestown, recently received a Freshman Academic Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. The North Dakota State University scholarship is awarded to incoming first-year students who have demonstrated strong academic achievement.
Schmitz will enter NDSU this fall and plans to major in pharmacy.
In high school, she was active in volleyball, National Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America.
