BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- The Bismarck Public School Board will help pay for upgrades to the city's Community Bowl.
The Bismarck Tribune reports that the school board on Monday committed $1.5 million to the planned $8 million project.
The project is to include suites, new locker rooms, a new track and new concession stands for the facility that is used primarily by Bismarck-area high schools and colleges for sporting events.
Users are to pay $3 million of the project cost. Bismarck-based MDU Resources already has pledged $2 million. The remainder is to be raised privately.
