AgCountry awards scholarships
AgCountry Farm Credit Services has awarded 24 $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors from northwest and west central Minnesota and eastern North Dakota. Criteria for selection included academic record, vocational promise, financial need, personal attributes and leadership/extra-curricular activities.
Area recipients are:
* Emily Hauck, daughter of Keith and Janell Hauck, Forbes. Hauck graduated from Ellendale Public High School and plans to attend North Dakota State University.
* Brittany Roney, daughter of JoAnn and Terry Roney, Oakes. Roney graduated from Oakes High School and plans to attend Valley City State University.
* Andreanna Trzpuc, daughter of Jeffery and Holly Trzpuc, Kathryn. Trzpuc graduated from Litchville-Marion High School and plans to attend North Dakota State University.
* Kennedy Witt, daughter of Jeanne and David Witt, LaMoure. Witt graduated from LaMoure High School and plans to attend North Dakota State University.

MSUM announces area graduates
Minnesota State University Moorhead awarded degrees to more than 940 students during its spring commencement program May 15 in the university’s Nemzek Fieldhouse. Area students, their degrees, majors and honors are:
Litchville: Jacinta David, Bachelor of Science, paralegal, cum laude.
Fullerton: Kelsi Glynn, Bachelor of Arts, communication studies.
Napoleon: Kayla Gross, Bachelor of Science, speech/language/hearing science, summa cum laude.
Jamestown: Eric Jensen, Bachelor of Music, music industry and entertainment studies, and Kaitlan Jensen, Bachelor of Arts, chemistry, cum laude.
Edgeley: Daniel Kietzman, Bachelor of Music, music industry.
Oakes: Trent Kohlmeyer, Bachelor of Arts, criminal justice.
Tappen: Jennifer Mahin, Bachelor of Science, business administration.
Lisbon: Chelsey Pederson, Master of Science, educational leadership; Brandon Schell, Bachelor of Science, business administration; and Jordan Williams, Bachelor of Arts, sociology.
New Rockford: Austin Schuchard, Bachelor of Science, business administration.

Scott gets VCSU scholarship
The office of enrollment services at Valley City State University has announced that Kayla Scott has been awarded a VCSU Hazel McBride scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year.
Scott graduated from Barnes County North High School in May. She is the daughter of Kelly and Tom Scott, Jamestown.
Valley City State University scholarships are made available as a result of the support of alumni and friends of the university. Students are selected to receive these scholarships on the basis of their high school GPA, ACT or SAT scores and their high school class rank.

Selvig awarded NDSU scholarship
Rainey Selvig, daughter of Dave and Sarah Selvig, Jamestown, received the North Dakota State University Presidential Honor Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes high academic achievement.
Selvig will enter NDSU in the fall and plans to major in accounting. In high school, she was active in volleyball, basketball, choir, student council, key club and National Honor Society.
